Welcome to TEXAS DDR GSD! We are located in the heart of Texas. We started a small program officially in 2010. Combined we have over 25 years experience with this breed from training and handling in Search & Rescue, Human Remains Detection, Cadaver/Scent work, training with LE/Prison Systems. We have a huge love for this breed and our dogs/puppies. With our program, we are family first and service second. We aim to provide amazing companions and also prospects that have the workability to work in the field.
We specialize in breeding German Shepherds from East Germany (DDR) lineage. We have acquired German Shepherds from a very strict selection out of exceptional bloodlines, where health and longevity have been proven and tested. Health and temperament is top priority. Each breeding is well thought out and planned based off compatibility of health, temperament, structure, drives/workability, etc from each breeding. Our goal is to produce the best quality through our strict breeding process so we may produce puppies with the same traits or better than the parents/lines they are bred from. We firmly believe in providing the highest quality of feed for our dogs, and supplements/vitamins throughout their life. We offer Health Guarantees with each puppy we place. We also offer title incentives for working titles obtained throughout the life of your dog.
Our puppies are very much our own children and are whelped and raised indoors. They are socialized, handled and desensitized to many positive experiences. We temperament test all of our puppies with Puppy Culture (Early Neurological Stimulation in new puppies from days 3-16) and various other enrichment exercises up to 10 weeks old. It is our goal to raise confident and well rounded puppies with great sound minds. We love being able to be fully involved with our puppies up until the time they go home with their new family. Our priority as a breeder, is quality over quantity and our puppies are placed in loving homes that we have vetted, reviewed, and approved of carefully. We can provide extensive knowledge and guidance to anyone looking to bring home one of these wonderful dogs, and we also offer lifetime breeder support to all who purchase one of our puppies!
